OmniMusic x Amy Manning - Rise and drop a beat

It started with a brew and ended with a beat.

EJ and I (Hey, I’m Amy by the way) met up for a coffee in the Autumn of 2023. We love a good catch up but she also wanted to ask me if I fancied getting involved in a rebrand for the charity she is the CEO of. She told me all about it, and of course, I said “Bloody hell, I’d love to!”

And so our collab journey began, and, I cannot tell you how blown away I am by OmniMusic.

It all became very clear to me why they needed a new identity. They are reshaping and shaking up the way the North West brings music and creativity to those who are often excluded.

You see, when a lack of quality music-making opportunities for people with disabilities in Stockport was noted, OmniMusic was created. With nearly 50% of disabled working-age people feeling excluded from society (ONS) and only 27% of music hubs carrying any adapted equipment, OmniMusic knew they had to be the change they wanted to see.

The team explained to me that they are one of the few organisations that use Assistive Music Technology (AMT) alongside traditional instruments to enable disabled music makers to have as much autonomy as possible when creating and performing their own music – How incredible is that! They are creating new ways to help people make and enjoy music!

Due to capacity constraints, OmniMusic focused on small, project-based funding sources which led to little legacy, an unstable situation for freelancers, and no core funding. OmniMusic needed to reshape. With a new funding strategy in place, trusted names on board, and a new operating model. They just needed to reignite visually with a new brand design.

OmniMusic are passionate change-makers

They have a vision and I want to help them achieve their goals by creating and building their new brand. A rebrand can offer clarity, confidence, and consistency in the business’s visual identity, whilst looking professional and credible.

Omni Music is changing, and I want to help.

Step into 2024 and the brand is here. It has already made a mark on BBC Radio Manchester, Stockport Town of Culture Weekender and not to mention the new funding raised. The design is trustworthy, respected, accessible, and celebrates its beneficiaries. The new branding was vital to sustain their community and investments. Just take a look at the results and most importantly the smiles on the faces of the music makers.

The results are in!
